Emirates Network Operations & Logistics Jobs: Contingency Response Planning
We have a system in place to handle the situation in case of accidents. Accidents can be relatively minor in nature or, catastrophic resulting in loss of life. In such cases, we have a duty to provide care to our passengers, our crew and friends and relatives of those involved. At the Contingency Response Planning we prepare corporate plans to deal with such emergencies. There is a close coordination with our Outstations to ensure that locally prepared plans are effective to manage such a situation. We also have a lot of external contracts with airport authorities, emergency services and supporting agencies. A small team, headed by an experienced manager, takes care of the planning and training of our staff volunteers and other front line staff who could get involved in any of a number of aspects of emergency management. Training is conducted both in Dubai and Outstations. As new stations are added to our expanding network, personnel of this department also have station visits to review those stations’ capability and capacity to handle an emergency. Station plans are then prepared to deal with any shortfalls that have been identified.
