The Emirates Engineering Centre
Explore one of the most technologically advanced aircraft maintenance facilities in the world
The Emirates Engineering Centre covers an area of 55 hectares and is fully equipped with the latest technology for the maintenance of the world's largest fleet of A380s and B777s.
The centre has 12 hangars, each over twice the size of a football pitch, which also have a mezzanine and fully-automated fuselage docking systems. The centre is also home to our line maintenance facility, including an office/administration building, aircraft stores, ground support and nitrogen generation workshops.
We're also the biggest A380 maintenance facility in the world, with enough room to house up to 11 of our flagship aircraft all at the same time.
Safety and efficiency are important to us and this is reflected in our cutting edge testing facilities. Our engine test cell can handle engines of up to 115,000 pounds of thrust, which makes it one of only two facilities in the world that can.
Getting around the fully Wi-Fi enabled centre is safe and easy, thanks to moving walkways, tricycles, golf carts and Segway® Human Transporters.
We keep our fleet looking sharp with our fully automated and environmentally controlled aircraft paint facility, equipped with teleplatform units for safe and efficient access to the aircraft.
